The brief

To create a communications strategy to guide the launch of a new pre-school nursery, primary and secondary school which would build local community awareness and drive pupil and staff recruitment.

My approach

I used demographic data and local insight to build up a profile of the community and key audience groups. Working with stakeholders, I developed a communications strategy outlining how to engage effectively with the local community to build understanding of the new brand and create positive word of mouth about the schools. I created a set of messaging lines through which to base future communications activity. My strategy included working collabratively with large local employers to create awareness of the educational provision and proactively target families with pre-school children. 

My communications strategy is being used by the Trust to implement 12-month communications plan to across all on and offline channels.
